		<description>One of the reasons doctors earn a lot more is because of the effort you need to put in to become a doctor. (4 years college(premed) + 4 year medical school + 2-8 years residency = 10-18 years before you can practice on your own and earn the big bucks. 
The other reason is malpractice insurance - everyone being as lawsuit happy as they are these days - the insurance companies take a big bite.
And nurses work very hard (exceptions to every rule). I am sure most of them work hard enough to warrent the pay they get.
I do agree about the insurance companies. They are making the killing.
Also the level of service we expect even for the smallest health issue is what drives the price up.</description>
