I left this world exactly six months ago. I was tired, I was depressed, I was lost. My friends had departed one by one, guild broke up, and the real world had finally caught me. So I left this land of war, exploration, the carrot on a stick.
I managed to have as little association with this game as possible, it was pretty good in the beginning. I managed to have some free time to do other things. Time pass by, Heroes aired, Battlestar Galactica ended, Palm Pre released, Zune HD was caught in the spy shot. A lot have happened but I felt I was missing something.
Then I got in conversation with co-worker who happened to be a WOW player. I am not surprised, but it felt like I met a long lost family. We didn’t talk much about the game, but it got me wide awake at night thinking about the land of Azeroth, I dreamed about Sargeras reaching to me, whispering in my ear, encasing my soul. I started to read wowinsider again and found out wowinsider has acquired wow.com domain.
Then I met another person who works in my company. He does blacksmith and it was because of World of Warcraft. That is really cool. Maybe I should pickup Alchemy or Enchanting. During the time, I started to use druid in my computer passwords, I found out one of my old co-worker/friend went to Blizzcon 2008 and she is going again this year. The World of Warcraft movie had a director. On top of all those, I also discovered that Druid’s forms are getting new artworks. That was the last straw.
And today, I reactivated my account, I am reinstalling the game. I am going back to my second life to continue my exploration and I am happy that I am doing this.
