It has been two years and three months since I graduated. I’ve had three jobs and one internship and none of them actually has anything to do with art. I’ve had this urge to pick up my camera lately, I’ve cleaned my brush, I’ve found my pcb boards and my soldering iron. I even found my Arduino board. Yes

So I was very happy today when I somehow saw this project online.

I’ve learned it in my college years and it was always intriguing to me. I’ve always had these questions for this piece: What is the human’s limitation? What is courage? What is sacrifice? What is stupidity? What is ART? At the time, I wasn’t able to find my answer for them. But when I see this piece again today, I thought I was ready to answer them as I have grown and matured. Then, I realized something, I am still in search. It seems like human are limitless, we are keep evolving and improving ourselves. i guess my goal for myself is self fulfillment and self improvement, but that seems like very hard at the current age as material is ruling my life.

I don’t know why, but it seems if one miss something, that thing will keep coming. I saw Richard Avedon’s exhibition banners all over the place in SF. I guess time to book my tickets and pay a visit. The one piece on the BART took my breath away, but I wasn’t able to find a good image online but I do found these two. Enjoy.

Interesting goals! One of the first posts in my blog, The CALM Scramble, was about a conversation that deals with those goals as a road to excellence. The post is titled Small Talk, in case you are interested (if you haven’t read it already).

I just read it. It’s a very nice story and it exemplifies my view on life. Smile
